It feels like we spent most of last year learning how to farm all over again. With Frankie around, we could no longer solve our problems by just working until we ran out of daylight and soothing our weary muscles with cold beer and ice cream. We had to do things more efficiently, prioritize the crops that made us money, and learn when to let go. I think we’re better farmers because of it, and we’re excited to keep refining our systems this season.
With farming, as with parenting, you can never get too comfortable in what you know. We were just starting to figure out how to farm with an infant when our tiny baby turned into a toddler. Frankie no longer naps four hours a day, and she’s a little too busy to chill out in her carrier. And, of course, she no longer stays where we put her. So, we’ll keep trying and failing and learning and growing and leaning on all of you to help us through. Thanks for joining us as we set out on Season #7.
