We’re trying out a lot of new things on the farm this season, but the biggest change is probably the addition of our first official farm employee. We’re excited to finally introduce you to Joe Painter! By day, Joe is a hard-working and enthusiastic member of our teeny-tiny farm team. By night (and most other times), Joe is a student of fine arts with a concentration in sculpture at Kutztown University.
If you’ve eaten beans or cherry tomatoes this season, they were probably picked by Joe. If you’ve eaten any carrots or onions, they were most definitely weeded by Joe. He’s been indispensable in keeping us afloat this season, and were pretty honored to be employers.
Joe’s interest in farm life has yielded lots of pictures, and he’s expressed interest in creating a Root Mass Farm Instagram account. If you’re hip and social media savvy like Joe, stay tuned for that! Otherwise, you can join Landon and me in the corner.
